Immersion computing and local data centres Servers that heat water instead of heating the air

In an Allegria Solutions tank, machines sit in a dielectric fluid that captures their heat. A heat exchanger passes it on to the building's heating and hot water circuit.

How it works

  1. Immersion

Servers, blockchain servers and GPU cards are submerged in a dielectric fluid. No fans at all, and the circulation pump is inaudible: the installation is silent.

  2. Exchange

Heat passes from the fluid to the building's water circuit through a plate heat exchanger.

  3. Reuse

The heated water feeds radiators and the hot water cylinder, all year round.

The benefits

Denser, quieter, and the heat finally has value

  • 10 kW of computing in the footprint of a piece of furniture
  • Silence: with no fans, there is nothing to hear, and the circulation pump is inaudible
  • A stable temperature that improves performance: no slowdown caused by heat
  • No dust and no hot spots, which is easier on hardware
  • Heat that replaces heating instead of being vented
The options

Two ways to benefit

Your own local data centre, or space in ours.

Colocation

Space in our tanks

You bring your machines (GPUs, AI servers, blockchain servers); we install them in a tank in Brussels or Anderlecht, or in our rack at the data centre.

  • Electricity billed on your actual consumption
  • Connectivity over the Allegria Solutions network
  • Installation and start-up by our team

Redundancy and decentralisation

Your local data centre is never isolated

Every local data centre is linked by fibre to the Allegria Solutions network and its other sites: Brussels, Anderlecht and our rack at the data centre.

One network, several sites

Your tank joins a network of interconnected sites instead of relying on a single data centre.

Redundancy

Your backups and replicas can be hosted on another Allegria Solutions site, away from your installation.

Sovereignty

Your machines and production data stay on your premises. Only what you choose to replicate leaves your site.

Operator-grade connectivity

Own IP prefixes and BNIX peering: your local data centre benefits from the same network as our own sites.

Private AI

Locally hosted LLMs, reachable from home

The network gives you access to AI servers running locally hosted large language models (LLMs). You use them from home or from your offices, and no data ever leaves the data centre: nothing is sent to an external AI service. More tanks across the network will host AI servers over time.

Who it suits

Wherever heat is useful all year round

Buildings with constant hot water demand

Apartment blocks, hotels, swimming pools, care homes: hot water is used all year, just like the heat computing produces.

Businesses that need compute

AI servers, rendering, intensive computing: dense, quiet power whose heat is used on site.

Blockchain servers

Better cooling and quieter operation, with heat that has value.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a special heating system?

No. The tank connects to the existing circuit through a heat exchanger. We agree the connection point with your heating engineer and, if needed, add a buffer tank.

Who pays for electricity?

In colocation, the electricity your machines use is billed to you. With your own tank, it runs through your own meter.

Which machines can be submerged?

Servers, blockchain servers and GPU cards, after a compatibility check. We tell you what preparation is needed before installation.
